1. I graduated in 1995, but wasn't invited to either the five or ten-year reunion. Why not?
When we began planning for the first reunion, we contacted Belleville West to obtain a class list. The list we received was a printout and was from 1991, the year we entered Belleville West. It included all students who began as members of the class rather than a complete list of those who graduated in 1995. Therefore, it was not as accurate as we'd hoped. We did our best with the information we had at the time. We typed in 500+ names into a spreadsheet and have maintained that list ever since.

At the time, a formal invitation was mailed via USPS to ALL classmates on the list. However, many invitations were returned because the classmate and/or their parents were no longer at the address on file. We began maintaining a 'missing classmate' list at that time. After the five-year reunion, we found more and more classmates, but many were still missing. We are trying to find even more using this site and our Facebook group!

Unfortunately, we are not professional reunion planners and maintain full-time jobs. Therefore, we do not have as much time to spend on classmate searching as we'd like. Please spread the word to your friends and check out the missing classmate list. If you are on it, send us an e-mail and we'll be sure to send you informaiton as it becomes available!

2. Why are the reunions so expensive?
Belleville West does not subsidize the cost of the reunions and there is no reunion fund. Therefore, in order to pay for the reunions, the cost of mailings, food, drinks, location and decorations must be built into the cost of the ticket. We've tried to keep the cost to a minimum and, in the future, hope to offer both casual and formal reunion events to better meet everyone's needs.

3. Do I still have to pay if I don't plan to eat?
Unfortunately, yes. The cost isn't just for food, but for mailings and cost of the hall rental so everyone must pay the ticket price.

4. Who is in charge of planning the reunions?
Typically, the class president takes charge of reunion planning, but the president of the class of 1995 lives out of town. Therefore, Sean Flynn (former student council president) and Laura Voegtle Boeker (former student council representative) have planned the last two reunions with the help of several volunteers.

5. How can I get involved in planning a reunion?
We are always looking for volunteers for upcoming reunions. For the 20-year, we will be creating committees. If you are interested in helping, please send us an e-mail.
